Scope of work and testing.

It is assumed, that rotary machinery overhaul should remove all faults and restore original performance. Apart from disassembly and assembly work TC Sp. z o.o. also make full assessment of machinery condition before turbine stopping for overhaul, during overhaul and after turbine starting. These examinations give information about possibilities of further operation and provide basis for securing guarantee. 

Testing of machinery in motion:

  • vibration measurement and analysis with cause defining;
  • dynamic assessment of roller bearing condition;
  • dynamic rotor  balancing in own bearings;
  •  level and laser measurements of bearing position changes during turbine heating;
  • rotor dynamic balancing in own bearings according to ISO standards;
  • analysis of indications of dynamic measurement  instruments.

Flaw detection and metallographic tests:

  • finding of cracks in turbine casings and rotors;
  • testing of turbine blades with magnetic particle testing in UV rays;
  • ultrasonic testing of shafts, couplings, casing split surfaces, bolts and plane bearing;
  • endoscope testing of hard to reach spaces;
  • visual examination of pipeline interiors with micro TV set on the length up to 11m.;
  • flaw detection examination of rotor central bores;
  • metallographic replicas for assessment of technical degradation of materials working in highest temperatures;
  • hardness measurement for assessment of material condition.

Measurements and repair work:

  • measurements of alignment and position of turbine parts with precision "Centralign" laser system of PRUFTECHNIK;
  • measurement of rotor curvature;
  • measurement of bearing clearances and flow path clearances together with condition assessment;
  • leveling measurements of major turbine elements;
  • static and dynamic measurements of turbine control system together with necessary adjustments;
  • wear measurement and assessment of  all turbine parts;
  • auxiliary equipment condition assessment;
  • straightening of bent turbine rotors;
  • replacing of turbine blades;
  • establishing overhaul scope and developing time schedules;
  • removing cracks and welding cracked casings according to special method developed individually;
  • machining of casing split surfaces;
  • casing internal surface machining with portable machine tools;
  • mounting and dismounting of shrunk-on elements and elements set with tight fit;
  • honing of central bore in rotor shaft for further flaw detection testing (boresonic testing);
  •  honing sleeves , cylinders and holes for coupling bolts;
  • dynamic balancing of rotors on portable station on site;
  • welding works on turbine related pipelines with annealing ;
  • typical overhaul work connected with disassembly and assembly of particular  turbine units.
